Consultations
We work by appointment only. This way, we try to keep waiting times to a minimum.
Preferably make an appointment via the website. You can also make an appointment by telephone on 028930466, preferably in the morning.
Please be present on time for the appointment made. We also do our very best to stick to the planned appointment time. However, emergencies cannot be foreseen. We would therefore like to apologize in advance if you have to wait due to an urgent call.
We provide one appointment per person. If you think you need extra time, for example for a procedure or for a consultation, please mention this so that we can provide more time. If you come with 2 people, please also make 2 appointments.
If you cannot be present (on time), please cancel your appointment (by telephone), so that someone else has the opportunity to take your place.
If you do not cancel your appointment or cancel it late (less than 1 hour before the appointment), we reserve the right to charge a fee. If this happens 3 times in 12 months, you will no longer be able to make an appointment in our practice.
If all appointment time slots are full and you think you need to be seen the same day, please contact us by phone.
Always bring your identity card (and for young children their ISI + card) to your consultation.
Receptionist
Our receptionist Ann is present in our practice from Monday to Friday, always in the morning. She answers phone calls and schedules appointments. She can put you through if you need to speak to a doctor for urgent reasons. Collecting documents or letters and calling for information is also best done during the opening hours of the secretary’s office. In the absence of Ann, a centralised call centre will handle telephone calls remotely.
Bancontact or Payconiq/Wero
In our practice you can pay with bancontact, Payconiq and Wero. For safety reasons, this is our preference.
Home visits
People who are seriously ill, bedridden or less mobile can request a home visit. Please call between 8 and 10 am on phone number 028930466. This is the only way we can try to visit you the same day.
Since there are better examination and treatment options in the practice room, we ask you to always come to the practice yourself, if at all medically possible.
On-call service
During the weekend and/or public holidays, you can contact the GP on-call service in Vilvoorde, Gendarmeriestraat 65 (same entrance as the emergency department of the AZ Jan Portaels Vilvoorde hospital) by calling 1733.
During the nights in the week from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m, the GP on-call service at AZ an Portaels Vilvoorde is closed but you can call 1733 to reach the doctor on call.
Pharmacy: www.apotheek.be
Dentist: on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.: 090399915.
Emergencies
If urgent help is needed, you can call the practice. If possible, call yourself, so you can personally discuss your condition / problem with the doctor.
In life-threatening situations, call the emergency number 112.
Questions
For minor medical questions, we provide a half-hour call service from 12:30 to 13:00. Please take this into account as much as possible. Telephone calls during the consultation are disruptive for both doctors and patients. For urgent medical matters, we can also be reached outside the half-hour call service time slot
Certificates and prescriptions
Our doctors can only complete certificates and forms and prescribe medication during the consultation, as recommended by the RIZIV. Hence, making an appointment is compulsory. In the office we have the necessary information and time to do this correctly. Please check in advance which and how much medication you need so that we can make sufficient prescriptions. Absence certificates are always part of a consultation.
Global medical file
Your GP collects all your important medical data (operations, chronic diseases, reports from specialists, data on treatments and vaccinations, etc.) in your Global Medical File (GMD). This file ensures that your GP has a complete picture of your state of health, which enables better consultation between your GP, specialists and other healthcare providers. For maintaining and coordinating your GMD, the RIZIV provides a fee per calendar year. This amount is paid directly by the health insurance fund via the third-party payment scheme and is therefore free for you as a patient. For this, you bring your electronic identity card or ISI+ card. In addition, if your GMD is up-to-date, you will enjoy a reduction of up to 30% of the co-payment within our group practice.
Medical representatives
Medical representatives can only make an appointment by telephone.
Accredited Training Practice
Two general practitioners in training are being trained in our practice. The GP trainee has already graduated from university and is a certified doctor. They also complete the last three years of their specialization as a general practitioner. You can therefore also visit them for a consultation and/or request a home visit. Everything the GP trainees do, they discuss daily with the other doctors in the practice. There is a joint team meeting every week and in addition a daily discussion of problems and learning moments with the practice trainer.
